When L&OBSC was created in 2005, we designed
a management framework to allow the club to thrive and grow. A club twice the
size of our pre-decessors, plus the expectation of funding a full-time coach,
required us to become more 'professional'...
We are Members Club, so we have a
Committee
elected annually by the membership. It currently meets every two months.
Committee agreed to create a
Management Board
to take day-to-day decisions and to advise it on the more complex issues facing
the club. It meets when necessary.
Our
Management Framework gives transparency
to our members and partners and fosters best practice.
As a Swim 21 club, we adopted a number of other
best-practice
policies.
